Hello and welcome to Scriptures in the Secret Place, your Christian meditation channel. This is your safe space to slow your mind, to take a breath, and enter the loving presence of Jesus. Oh dear loved ones, I am so sorry for your loss. Grief is tremendously painful. And so today, we want to offer you a safe space to sit with your grief and the comfort of Jesus. Today we will meditate on John 11, 25 to 26. But before we get started, if you are able, move your body into a space and position that feels the most comfortable. Maybe that's laying down. Maybe it's wrapping a warm blanket around yourself. Or maybe it's hugging a pillow. Provide your body what it needs right now, pausing this meditation until you get there. Let's now take deep, nourishing breaths. Take a deep breath in through the nose, filling right down into your belly. And a long breath out through the mouth. Take a deep breath in. Once more, take a deep breath in. Father God in heaven, we come to you in Jesus' name and we pray for your broken-hearted children on the other side of this meditation. As their soul aches with the tremendous pain of loss, we pray that you provide them with your comfort, your strength, your courage, and your love. And as they navigate the stages of grief and the steps that come with saying goodbye to those they love, we pray that you comfort them in the knowledge that there is life after death, and that you will sustain them with your strength and faithfulness. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen. Continue to take deep breaths as we meditate on John 11, 25 to 26. Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die. And whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this? The one who believes in me will live even though they die. And whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this? And whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this? The one who believes in me will live even though they die. And whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this? The one who believes in me will live even though they die. And whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this? Let's gently enter our secret place with Jesus. Take this time to share your heartbreak with God and to sit in his comfort. I'll give you a few moments here with Jesus now. And a long breath out. Can you imagine your loved one in heaven, their spirit alive and well, living in the presence of Jesus? And isn't it a beautiful truth that at this very moment both you and your loved one are sitting in the presence of Jesus? That whenever we enter the presence of Jesus, we enter the same presence our loved ones live in. That you and your loved one are in the same place at the same time in the presence of Jesus. If this is too painful and too soon for you, then instead please take this time to sit in the comfort of Jesus. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die. And whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this? We hope you found this meditation helpful and you can return to it any time you need comfort in your grief. Remember, Jesus said, Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. And how comforting is it to think that when we call upon Jesus and his comfort, our loved ones are sitting in his comfort as well. May God's comfort, love, healing, and blessings be upon you.
