Hello and welcome to Scriptures and the Seeker Place, your Christian meditation channel. This is your safe space to slow your mind, to take a breath, and enter the loving presence of Jesus. Oh loved ones, I am so sorry you're carrying the weight of shame within your heart. Today we want to offer you this time as a safe space to feel how you feel, enter the loving presence of Jesus, and remember God can never love you more than he does right now. Yes, even in our shame, he loves us to the fullest. Today we will meditate on 2 Corinthians 5, 17. But before we do, let us first settle into this time with Jesus, breathing in the nourishing air he has blessed us with. Take a deep breath in through the nose, filling right up into your belly, and a long breath out through the mouth. Take a deep breath in, and a long breath out. Once more, deep breath in, and long breath out. Help us, Lord, to remember that when Jesus was crucified on the cross, he bore our sin and shame so that we don't have to. So that if we simply believed in him as our Lord and Savior and prayed for forgiveness, we'd be made righteous and could live free from shame and condemnation. Jesus, for whatever reason the person on the other side of this meditation feels shame. Please help them understand this truth. Help them surrender their sin and shame and accept your love so you may wash away their past, as they may live their life renewed in your light, in your joy, and in your freedom. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen. Continue to take deep, nourishing breaths as we meditate on God's Word. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away, behold, the new has come. The old has passed away, behold, the new has come. The old has passed away, behold, the new has come. The old has passed away, behold, the new has come. The old has passed away, behold, the new has come. Let's gently enter our secret place with Jesus. Take this time and share with Jesus what is making you feel ashamed, and ask for his loving forgiveness or needed. Remember, there is nothing too great or too small to bring before Jesus. I'll give you a few moments now. Sometimes we will pray for forgiveness, but still feel shame. It may take time to fully surrender this feeling to Jesus. And so while we are in the process of releasing our shame to Him, we must remember Jesus is bigger than any mistake, bigger than any sin, bigger than any worry, bigger than anything and everything. And so we must remind ourselves daily of this truth. And eventually our feelings will catch up with it. You have prayed for forgiveness. Now it's time to envision surrendering your shame to Jesus. What does that look like? Whatever comes to mind, envision giving this to Jesus now, you can see that. Behold, the new has come. We hope you found this meditation helpful and you can return to it any time you struggle with shame and need a gentle space to bring it before Jesus. Remember, Jesus not only washes away your past, but also uses your story to free others from theirs. We are living testimony to the power of God's goodness. We never know how surrendering our shame and accepting Jesus' renewal can lead to the saving of others. May God's healing and blessings be upon you.
