Hello and welcome to Scriptures and the Secret Place, your Christian meditation channel. This is your safe space to slow your mind to take a breath and enter the loving presence of Jesus. How are you doing, loved ones? How is your heart? How is your mind? Dropping into this meditation. Some of you may be all too familiar with the painful, confusing, and exhausting internal conflict that one feels when we self-sabotage. It can be incredibly difficult to understand why we get in our own way and why we cause ourselves so much heartache. In this moment, you may feel like the villain, like the victim, or a mix of both. Either way, we want to offer you this time as a safe space to feel how you feel. Enter the loving presence of Jesus. And remember, God can never love you more than he does right now. Yes, even in our worst days, he loves us to the fullest. Today we will meditate on Proverbs 3, 5 to 6. But first, let us start by taking deep, nourishing, loving breaths. Take a deep breath in through the nose, filling right up into your belly. And a long exhale out through the mouth. Take a deep breath in. And a long breath out. If you had to envision the presence of Jesus around you, what would that look like? Is it a beam of light shining down from heaven all around you? Do you visualize Jesus holding you in his arms? Whatever vision comes naturally to you, envision this now. And as you envision the presence of Jesus, continue to take deep breaths, knowing you are breathing in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Because he is with you right here, right now. I'll give you a few moments to breathe in his presence. Father God in heaven, we come to you in Jesus' name and pray for each and every person listening this meditation right now. Lord, you know and have seen our struggle with self-sabotage, whether through procrastination, picking fights, or finding ways to mess up the things that are going well in our lives. We are all here to humble ourselves before you to ask for your help. For different reasons, our own understanding, our way of thinking leads us to destroy the good we are presented with. In John 10:10, Jesus said, The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. But Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly. We know self-sabotage was never, is never, and will never be your intention for our lives. And as we step forward in the mighty name of Jesus, we call upon all the powers of heaven, and we command that all the voices of unclean spirits and our own earthly understanding be silenced during this time, so that we may hear your voice clearly. And we pray as we move out of this meditation that we become more sensitive to your discernment and guidance, so that when the noise of self-sabotage come near, we know to lean into your discernment, and you will guide us away from destruction and into your perfect will for our lives. We pray in Jesus' name, amen. Proverbs three, five to six. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. Repeat this scripture aloud after me. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. This is your private time with the Lord. Take this moment, surrender what you need to, pray for what you need, and take time to hear what God has to say. I'll give you a few moments now. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. We hope you found this meditation helpful and you can return to it any time you face self-sabotage and need a gentle space to bring it before Jesus. We pray that God provides you with the discernment and wisdom to not only combat this in the spiritual realm, but also, if needed, that he guides you to the resources available here on earth for your healing. Remember, self-sabotage was never, is never, and will never be God's intention for your life. God loves you, and Jesus came so that you may have life and have it abundantly. May God's healing and blessings be upon you.
